MISSION
The work funders actually fund.
High Plains Grants helps nonprofits and institutions across the Mountain West win the funding their work deserves. We focus on arts and culture organizations and rural healthcare initiatives — especially Federally Qualified Health Centers — fields where the case for support is real, the stakes are high, and the proposals have to be sharper than the competition. Our job is to make sure they are: to take what our clients know about their communities and turn it into the kind of evidence-grounded narrative that funders actually fund.
VISION
A region resourced to match what's here.
A Mountain West where rural hospitals, dance companies, art museums, and the institutions that hold our communities together have the resources to do their best work — and where the philanthropic and federal dollars flowing into the region finally reflect what's actually here: the need, the innovation, and the cultural life that makes this place worth fighting for.

Testimonials
It was very helpful to have four years of data analyzed into a report that offers both high-level synthesis and tangible takeaways. Our executive and internal affairs committee will be able to make more informed decisions thanks to Drew. Thank you!
Michael Johnson Executive Director, Northfield Arts Guild

As a relatively new Executive Director, I found the report extremely helpful in understanding where Mercer has been financially over the past three years… I really value the clarity and conciseness of the report. It strikes a great balance between depth and accessibility — you can dig into the details or quickly find key insights.

Drew's financial analysis of our museum's 990s helped our board to easily understand the organization's financial challenges, confirmed many of the issues we had identified prior to the report, and assured that we are on the right track
with our problem solving tactics.
Allison Maluchnik, Executive Director, Nicolaysen Art Museum

I truly appreciate the depth of Drew's research, the clarity of his recommendations, and the care he took in putting everything together. This will most likely be a core resource as we move forward with strategic planning and funding conversations.
